This dish is my hubby’s thirsty trap, he can’t escape the urge to ask for more of it
2 pounds lean ground meat (a balance of turkey and beef is delightful)
2 eggs
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Seasonings: 1/2 teaspoon each of basil, oregano, thyme
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, diced
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup Italian cheese blend
Salt and pepper to your liking
Steps:
Warm up the oven to 350°F.
Mix the ground meats in a big bowl.
Incorporate eggs, breadcrumbs, herbs, garlic, onion, seasonings, and Parmesan. Blend well.
Mold this mix in a loaf pan.
Top with the marinara sauce.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until it hits 160°F internally.
Near the end, grace it with the Italian cheese blend until melted.
Let it settle post-baking, then slice and serve.
Final Thought:
Indulge in this Parmesan Meatloaf. Each bite promises comfort, making it a beloved dish for any dinner table.
